HUANG SHAN - acrylic on canvas, 80x100cm, 2009
Huang Shan or the Yellow Mountain is a mountain in China. It has many granite peaks with pine trees. Extraordinarily beautiful and sureal. I used to think classical chinese ink painting portrayal of dramatic mountain scapes were pure imagination until I saw Huang Shan.
HUNTLEYS POINT - oil on canvas, 25x50cm, 2009
Huntleys Point is a suburb in Sydney Australia. It has a ferry wharf near Gladesville Bridge where I used to take ferry to work. The pedestrian path down to the wharf is from the left. The wharf is on the right side. The morning sun was casting shadows along the sloping ground.

This is my impressionist expression of a busy intersection in Shinjuku in Tokyo. Brightly colored shop neon lights and banners lining up the street, Throngs of pedestrian crossing and a few trees.
