PADANG RIVER - oil on canvas 34x40cm, 2016

Indonesia has amazing landscape. From the river to the sea. My favourite subject is rivers. I did a Sumedang river painting before. This one is a scene of river in Padang, Sumatra. The randomly scattered rocks, the reflections on the still water and the distant trees on distant hills, all combined to make a beautiful and serene scene. LEGONG DANCER - oil on canvas, 30x40cm, 2008

This painting was inspired from a Bali holiday photo of mine. I went to see traditional balinese dance show near Denpasar and I took the photo with flashlight. The cloth color and the glitter came out nicely. This painting now belongs to a collector Sydney Australia.

AUSSIE FARM - oil on canvas, 35x45cm, 2009

This painting was inspired from a black and white photo in a newspaper clipping. The colours are approximations I made of what the original scene would look like. I also added a few touches such as the two cows and the tractor.
